Christmas Double Days

Hi crafters!  We have a double day with a navy blue theme today!  I started this first card by cutting the Frosty Frame twice out of coconut white card.  I cut the centre out of both of them, and then cut one of them in half lengthwise.  I added thin bits of mounting foam to the first one to raise it and cut the Stitched Striplet out of navy blue and put the frame over it, trimming away the excess from underneath it.  Then I added the extra frame that was cut in half to the top and bottom of the frame.   I stamped my sentiment and cut it out and added it atop the tag from the frosty frame die set. I used Faded Jeans to lightly ink around the sentiment.   I mounted the entire piece on a larger piece of coconut white card and added Snowflake Flourish Corners cut in white to each of the corners.  Navy blue and white mats and layers were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  7 3/4" in size. Scroll down for card number two.

Card number two is a really good one for quick batch making.  I embossed a piece of navy card with the Falling Snow embossing folder.  I used Silver Dream gilding polish over the top to highlight the texture.  Next I cut the Radiating Star in silver and backed it with silver card.  I cut the Tidings of Comfort die in silver and added it below the star.  I cut the Holly Swirl and nipped away the holly pieces and cut it and attached part below and part above the star as an accent.  White, silver and blue card mats and layers were used to complete this card,  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  8" in size.

Just a quick reminder that I will be leading off the Creative Expressions Takeover Weekend tonight at 6pm on Hochanda!  I will be showcasing some of the Christmas dies that haven't yet been on the tv and a few of the more popular ones that have, including the Frosty Frame shown in the first sample today!  I hope you will be able to join us for what is going to be a very fun and craft filled weekend on Hochanda!  All for now, Sue x

Wonderful In Every Way

Hi Bloggers!  Now that the launch is over, it is back to once a day posts, sorry!  I found this pretty uplifting butterfly card for today so I hope that it will fill the bill for you.  I started by creating a Pixie Powder background on a piece of coconut white card.  I used some Midnight Blue, Sun Yellow, and Candy Pink on this one.  I cut a strip and used the Cascading Butterfly die to cut an aperture out of it.  I added mounting foam to raise it and added it on to a larger piece of coconut white card.  I stamped my sentiment in the lower corner.  Next I cut the butterflies out of black card and used the actual butterflies and recessed them into the aperture opening and added pearls to their bodies.  I cut one more butterfly out of some of the leftover pixie powdered card.  I added that one below the sentiment.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4"  x 7" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Pinwheel Floral

Hello!  Welcome back to the final die launch blog post.  I love to keep my flowers until the very end, even though you have seen this set countless times on previous posts.  Introducing to you the Pinwheel Floral die set.  The set has been designed with three different sized flowers, two leaves, a right and left facing and separate outer cutting edges so the flowers can be solid, decorative or both.  There are so many different looks that can be made from this set, I know you are just going to love it as much as I do!  There is also a matching Stamp To Die For to go with it so you can make even more differently styled floral looks from it.  This is the last time I will ask, but you should leave you comment on this post!  Now don't forget to pin any cards or dies that you want to keep, go back and put comments on any posts you may have missed and most importantly, don't forget to check back on Sept 29th to see if your name is among the winners posted then!  I hope you have enjoyed this launch as much as I have.  Thanks for joining me!  All for now, Sue x

Victoria

Hello bloggers!  The last post of the day belongs to the Victoria Frame and Tag die set.  I absolutely love this set as there are just so many ways to use it.  Shown in the sample here, you can see how this set makes quite a statement for your focal element.  When you consider that this is a smaller die shape, that is quite the feat!  I am always asked for smaller die sets to use and this one definitely fills the bill!  Don't let the size fool you though,  it still packs a real punch!LOL  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!  We only have two days left now to share with you, but we will be starting at our usual 6am.  All for now, Sue x
